Terms of Service

Welcome to PlantPeepal. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 if you live in the European Union or another jurisdiction that requires it) to create an account. By signing up you represent that you meet this age requirement.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials safe.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse other users, or repeatedly post content that breaks our rules.
• You can delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion removes your profile, posts, plants, photos, and analyses from active services.

3. Your Content

• You keep ownership of the content you post (photos, text, plant data).
• You grant PlantPeepal a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and adapt your content for the purpose of operating and improving the service.
• You can revoke this license by deleting your content or your account.
• You are solely responsible for the content you post and represent that you have the rights to share it.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use PlantPeepal to:

• harass, threaten, or harm other users;
• post spam, scams, or commercial solicitations outside of features designed for that;
• post content that is illegal, sexually explicit, hateful, or that infringes anyone's rights;
• impersonate other people or organizations;
• attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access;
• scrape, automate, or otherwise abuse the service.

We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

5. AI Features and Informational Use

PlantPeepal includes AI features (plant identification, disease detection, care recommendations, forum answers). These features are provided for informational and educational purposes only and are not professional plant pathology, agricultural, veterinary, or medical advice. See the AI Disclaimer for full details.

You are responsible for any decisions you make based on AI output. Never consume an edible plant based solely on AI identification.

6. Optional Support Purchases

Every PlantPeepal feature is available on the free Sprout plan, subject to fair-use limits that help us manage AI, storage, and infrastructure costs. PlantPeepal also offers an optional Bloom Supporter auto-renewable membership. Supporters receive higher fair-use allowances and a supporter badge while helping fund free access for the wider community. The exact allowances shown in the app form part of the offer and may be adjusted prospectively as costs or features change.

Prices may vary by country or currency. The price and length displayed in the App Store or Google Play purchase sheet at the time of purchase apply to your transaction.

One-time contributions

You may instead make an optional one-time contribution. These purchases do not renew, do not activate a membership, and do not unlock features. They are consumable support purchases and therefore are not restorable.

Billing and renewal

• Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account when you confirm a purchase.
• Supporter memberships automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current price.
• We use RevenueCat to sync subscription status in the app. We do not store your payment card details — billing is handled entirely by Apple or Google.

Managing and cancelling

You can manage, change, or cancel your subscription in your device account settings:

• iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
• Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions

Deleting the PlantPeepal app does not cancel your membership.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their respective store policies. PlantPeepal cannot issue refunds for in-app purchases made through those stores. Cancelling a membership does not retroactively refund the current billing period.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle account and subscription-related data.

7. Service Availability

We provide PlantPeepal on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. Features may change, be added, or be removed. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PlantPeepal and its operators are not liable for plant health outcomes, crop loss, financial loss, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service or reliance on AI output.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you in-app or by email. Continued use after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where PlantPeepal is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. (Final jurisdiction TBD before launch.)
