What the diagnosis looks for

Each health check looks for diseases, pests and nutrient deficiencies, and explains what it found in plain words.

  • Diseases, pests and deficiencies, each with a confidence score
  • An overall health rating from excellent to critical
  • Issues ranked by severity, from low to critical
  • A care plan with the primary diagnosis, its urgency and a first action

More photos, better answers

Photograph the whole plant, an affected leaf and the underside of that leaf. The analysis considers your photos together, and the in-app photo tips show what makes a useful shot.

Follow up after treatment

Every health check is saved to the plant's history. After you've made a change, run a new check and compare it with earlier ones to see whether the plant is recovering.

Know the limits

A photo can't confirm every problem. Root rot, for example, can look a lot like underwatering. Use the diagnosis to decide what to check next, follow product labels, and ask a local nursery or extension service when a plant keeps declining.

How it works

Three steps to get started

  1. 1

    Take a few photos

The whole plant, the problem area and a leaf underside.

  2. 2

    Read the diagnosis

See the likely issues, their confidence and severity, and the plant's overall health.

  3. 3

    Act and recheck

Start with the first action, then run a new check to compare.

Who it's for

  • Vegetable growers spotting blight, mildew or leaf spots
  • Houseplant owners puzzled by yellowing or drooping
  • Fruit tree growers checking pests before they spread
  • Anyone who wants a second opinion before reaching for a spray

Frequently asked questions

Can PlantPeepal identify plant diseases from a photo?
Yes. It checks your photos for signs of disease, pests and nutrient deficiencies and gives each finding a confidence score. Some problems, like root issues, can't be confirmed from a photo alone, so treat results as guidance.
Is the plant diagnosis free?
The free plan includes a monthly allowance of AI health checks. The optional Bloom plan includes more each month, and one-time packs are available if you run out.
How accurate is it?
It depends on the photos and the problem. Each finding comes with a confidence score, and a low score is a prompt to look closer rather than a final answer.
